We are committed to protecting your privacy. You can send queries to DSMIG by phone, letter, or email. In all cases, we will keep a record of your job title, and geographical area together with details of your anonymised query and our response, on a dedicated secure database, to which there is limited access.
All information collected by us will be treated as confidential and will be used to identify both frequently asked questions and unique requests so that we can continually improve the information and resources we provide. We will also use the information to produce statistical reports about the enquiries we receive: enquirer?s status, query topics, patient?s age, geographical area. These reports may be shared with our members but they will not include personally identifiable information.
If you are not willing for us to keep a record of your query please let us know when you first get in touch.
We may email or telephone your query to doctors within the DSMIG network and if it is of a very specific nature to specialist doctors elsewhere. However, we will not disclose any of your personally identifiable information except when we have your permission to do so.
Note that under special circumstances we may have to disclose your information if required to do so by law.
Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet is guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, whilst we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us and you do so at your own risk. Once we receive your transmission, we make our best effort to ensure its security on our systems.
