DSMIG generally organises a full day meeting each year in London , in the autumn and a workshop at the RCPCH conference in the spring. A typical meeting begins with a members only session which includes DSMIG business, and clinical case discussions. The remainder of the day is open to non- members and includes expert speakers on specialist topics and presentations on planned or completed research, service provision, development, and audit. Meetings are informal and interactive and are accredited for CPD.  From time to time DSMIG organises larger meetings , in conjunction with other organisations.
